Sign Up Information for Classes and Workshops
All-day, multi-day and international workshops must be paid in full 60 days before the departure date to hold your reservation. Our workshops book up quickly, and we want to be sure your spot is secure.
All privately optioned workshops must be paid in full at the time of booking.
If you are paying from outside of the U.S. for a U.S workshop, we are not responsible for additional bank or Paypal fees to wire money to us. If you are paying deposits to our International tour operator, we are not responsible for additional bank or Paypal fees.
Cancellations must be received in a written email format. Classes and workshops purchased from Jansen Photo Expeditions are eligible for a full credit less 10% towards another workshop (Credit must be used within one year of purchase) or refund (less 10%) if canceled outside of 90 days prior to the first scheduled class or workshop date. (Except for International Workshops, see below.)
Please protect yourself from any unforeseen cancellations with affordable travel insurance. We are a recognized provider of Travel Guard.
Workshops (except for privately optioned and International workshops) canceled 60 days to 14 days before the workshop date will be issued a full credit less 10% (only) for any future workshop. This policy also applies to hotel accommodations if Jansen Photo Expeditions is arranging that for you. Credit is only good if used within one year of purchase.
Privately optioned workshops are non-refundable but are eligible for a full credit less 10% towards another workshop if canceled before 14 days of the start of the workshop. Credit is only good if used within one year of purchase.
Cancellations for domestic group workshops must be made a minimum of 14 days before the workshop starts to receive credit towards a future workshop. Cancellations made the day of the class or after a class has begun are not eligible for any credit or refund.
On occasion, a class or workshop may be canceled due to low enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. If your event is canceled, all students may elect a refund in full or class credit.
If a workshop participant needs to leave a workshop in progress for any reason, the unused portions of the workshop are non-refundable and the participant is responsible for their own expenses incurred.
If you can’t make your scheduled workshop for any emergency reason, we offer full credit less 10% only towards another scheduled workshop if canceled within 60 days.
There shall be NO REFUNDS or reimbursement for weather delay or cancellation because of unforeseen circumstances such as weather, flight delays, traffic hold-ups, road closures, or state and national park closures.
Changes in route or schedule may occur at any time and are up to the discretion of Jansen Photo Expeditions. We are well versed in all the areas we cover in our workshops and itineraries may change to accommodate for unforeseen circumstances. Love nature? This is all part of it.
Workshop organizers may adjust the size of groups (to add more or deduct participants) at their discretion at any time as long as it does not impede on the quality of the workshop experience. We pride ourselves in our small group workshops but may add additional participants due to special circumstances.
All photography workshops proceed in all weather conditions but may be canceled at Jansen Photo Expedition’s discretion. All participants would then receive full credit towards a future workshop.
All private photography workshop packages must be completed within one year of purchase, or time will be forfeited.
Please no drugs or alcohol while participating in a Jansen Photo Expeditions workshop.
Jansen Photo Expeditions does not take responsibility for non-refundable airline tickets.
Jansen Photo Expeditions does not take responsibility for hotel expenses, transfers, transportation, food, lodging or any other costs that may be attributed towards enrolling in a class or workshop unless this is noted in the description of the workshop as an inclusive feature.
Attendees are responsible for their own National Park or State Park fees. Workshop cost does not include City, State or National park entrance fees.
Deposits on International workshops are non-refundable.
Iceland Group Workshop Physical Requirements
All Iceland group workshop participants must be in good physical condition for their age and be able to navigate uneven ground and varied weather and terrain for 1 to 2 miles. This group workshop functions as a cohesive unit and all participants must be able to participate in a group environment and carry their own camera equipment.
Non Photographer Participants
As with all of our classes and tours, each person is considered a participant if they are within the physical or visual presentation of our workshop anytime during this event. They will be under the watchful eye of our group leaders. All of our tours are charged per person and our fee is the same for extra friends and spouses who wish to attend.
Gift certificates are available in any amount and are non-refundable. Certificates must be used within one year of purchase. Not valid for international workshops.
All class and workshop participants will be required to sign a liability release form before participating in any class or workshop through Jansen Photo Expeditions. By attending one of our photo tours or workshops, you are accepting the risk of injury inherent in travel as well as illness, death, loss, or damage to personal property, which may be caused by acts of nature, negligence or actions of others. Your signup and payment shall serve as a release of our liability and a complete assumption of all risks by you and your heirs, administrator, executor, successors, and assign for all family members. By accepting our terms of service, you are acknowledging the risks involved.
Payments on International Tours
Some payments for International tours may require a payment to be wired directly to our tour operator. We are not responsible for any additional PayPal or International wire fees for international payments.
We highly recommend travel insurance and use Travel Guard for our own insurance needs. Please protect yourself from any unforeseen cancellations with affordable travel insurance. We are a recognized provider of Travel Guard
Travel insurance costs are separate from the cost of the workshop. You are responsible for the travel insurance costs even if the workshop does not run for some unforeseen reason.
Please contact your personal insurance provider to get a personal articles policy for your camera equipment if you are traveling on a multi-day or international workshop. We can refer you to our local reputable insurance agent if you would like.
A detailed Itinerary of our domestic tours and a gear supply list will be sent once payment transaction is made. Exact shooting details and locations will be discussed at workshop orientations.
